Alison Hullyer

Printmaker

Alison is a freelance illustrator, printmaker and designer working in a village just outside Cambridge. She designs primarily for the stationary industry mainly for award winning card publishers Phoenix Trading. Six of her fine art Seed Head prints have also been licensed by Green Pebble as cards. Her printmaking work continues to be inspired by patterns in nature; including stylised seed heads and quirky flowers. She has also produced a small range of prints and one off pictures inspired by the ceramics of Katharina Klug.

She will have drypoint and collograph prints available framed and unframed. Also this year she has added to her popular range of tea towels with one featuring the ubiquitous Cambridge bikes. Her other two designs depict long tailed tits in silver birch trees and goldfinches perched on cow parsley. These  are also available in Cambridge Contemporary Crafts and from Alison’s online shop. She has also expanded her colourful range of 'pick and mix' coasters.

Alison is often asked to run printmaking workshops and is registered with the 'Artists in Schools' scheme. She is really pleased to be taking part in Cambridge Christmas for the sixth year. It is her favourite event of the year, due to its unique atmosphere and great mix of exhibitors.
