Roxana de Rond

Illustrations, cards and gifts.

“There is nothing so delightful as drawing”, Van Gogh wrote. Roxana agrees wholeheartedly!

Roxana works on 3D pictures of various sizes.  She draws and paints images in watercolour, then cuts them out, reassembles and layers them to create a 3D effect.  One of her favourite is a series of work called Whippy and Flake.  These are drawings of people that go together and titled with foods that compliment each other.  The people shown could be friends, partners, sisters, mates, etc. Others in the series are Fish and Chips, Champagne and Strawberries, Tea and Toast and Cheese and Crackers.

It is quite obvious from her work that Roxana loves trees.  Amongst her many leafy favourites are the trees on Jesus Green and the Silver Birches at Anglesey Abbey.  Living in a city with so much green space offers her suitable drawing inspiration of both people and nature.

Roxana works from a lovely studio right in the heart of Cambridge City. She is a regular exhibitor with Cambridge Open Studios and many of the large Craft Fairs around the UK.  For more information about Roxana please visit her website.
