The world of hand-sewn creatures

Sue is based in Huntingdon Cambridgeshire.  She designs and makes unique one-off creatures and other quirky pieces from a mixture of upcycled and new materials, using traditional home skills by machine and hand embellishment.  You may recognise her work from All Saints Garden Market where she had a stall for nearly two years.

Sue says ‘the fascination for me is that when I’m creating something, I’m never quite sure how the finished piece is going to turn out.  I start by choosing colours and textures of fabrics and trimmings and its personality develops during the making process. That’s what I love the most….’

Sue is probably best known for her Tikapea sock creatures.  Like all of us they need an occasional cuddle.  You might also be tempted by one of her tiny Bunnies or a Midge, both are big eyed, inquisitive creatures just waiting for warm and friendly homes.

Sue is delighted to be invited to exhibit at Cambridge Showcase and she and her creatures are looking forward to meeting you.
